Broncos now Super Bowl favorites?
With the signing of Free Agent Quarterback Peyton Manning this offseason, many casual football fans have been labeling the Denver Broncos as Super Bowl locks this year. Personally, I completely disagree with that statement even if Manning is fully recovered from his neck surgeries. If Manning would've went to a team with more talent on boths sides of the ball (ala the San Francisco 49ers) than I can see the argument. Despite being one of the Top 3 Quarterbacks of all time, that team just doesn't have the defense to make the run everyone's talking about. With Peyton though, I have the Broncos as the favorites in the division. Locks for the Super Bowl? Even with all of their Free Agent signings (WR Caldwell, TE Dreessen, TE Tamme, CB Porter), I still think this team doesn't even make it to the AFC Championship game.

I think the broncos became much better with the addition of Peyton Manning. But I also feel that this will take some time for them to become a super bowl contender. In a year or two i wouldnt be surprised if they were in contention for a super bowl or if they won one.
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be hard to win after coming off neck surgery and having the second toughest schedule in the NFL.
ReplyDeleteI do not feel like this will be a super bowl contending team. They are still not sure if Manning is 100%. If Manning does not play they do not have a reliable quarterback and they might not even go 500 this upcoming season.
